The Trifecta

Have you ever known a manager that has great ideas, but just can’t get those ideas implemented?  Or a program that, in spite of the best intentions and a cherry picked team, isn’t delivering the intended benefit?  How about those technology projects that never seem to complete?

Depending on where you are with your career it is likely you have seen all or some of these challenges.   What’s the secret? What separates the haves from the have nots? It’s a simple combination.  Next time you have a critical project, or a new strategy, or a sensitive reorganization, focus on the following:

  • Dare to lead. Inspire and motivate the team, the organization, the company.  Fear not the rally cry — Paint the big picture and repeat until you instill the vision.  Build confidence in others, so that they learn to build confidence in themselves and their ability to succeed.
  • Engage the right stakeholders. Identify who can impact your efforts the most, and who are most impacted by your efforts.  Throughout the life of the initiative, ensure that you effectively communicate, involve, and keep them involved  – no one knows their business more than them
  • Right-size your processes. Review your operational processes.  Ensure they enable effective progress.  Remove unnecessary burdens and bureaucracy.

Our future blog postings will focus on each of these areas.  This is the core of what Xcution brings to its clients: strong leadership, a proven engagement model, and the right processes to get the job done.
